Peaberries are small round coffee beans.  Usually, insisde one coffee cherry there are two coffee beans.  Every now and then, there is a mutation that causes that instead of having two coffeebeans, there is one small, round bean. Hence the name Peaberry.   It takes special sorting equipment to sort the peaberries out of the bunch.  Each single peaberry receives the nutrients equivalent to what two beans would receive. Therefore, it is a dense bean and has a very intense flavor profile.
